Make a special box using a wide range of materials & techniques...
Think outside the box!
Creative Box Making Workshops

Workshop type: Experimental
Medium: Mixed Media Textiles
Suitability: Ages 14+. All abilities
(Also suitable for those with both traditional and more innovative interests, slow and fast workers!)

WORKSHOPS ARE VERY EXPERIMENTAL, allowing you to challenge yourself to use different combinations of materials, discover the possibilities of stitching onto papers, and explore a range of techniques including hand
stitch, free machine embroidery, cutwork, layering, and a textile soldering iron.

You will make a unique
box inspired by something personal to you, decorated inside and out, with a matching tag.

Workshops include an introduction to my work and an insight into how the techniques and concepts have
developed, a chance to touch and get a closer look at my portfolio and the boxes...

I provide equipment such as craft knives, non slip rulers, needles, soldering irons and materials including card, papers, threads, satins, organzas, ribbons and collage materials. Participants are encouraged to bring synthetic fabrics
and other materials of personal interest such as photos, maps, buttons, old magazines, photocopies,
unusual papers etc. You could also bring a sewing machine.
